NICO SANTOS, 44, 'GUARDIANS 3,' 'CRAZY RICH ASIANS,' 'SUPERSTORE'

How you know him. Santos wrote for E!'s Fashion Police, appeared on Showtime's Pride Comedy Jam, and was a panelist on Chelsea Lately. He starred in Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Crazy Rich Asians, and the hit sitcom, Superstore. Now Santos radiates onscreen as Theel in Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 3.

Where you’ll see him next. The Netflix comedy, Happiness for Beginners, with Ellie Kemper and Luke Grimes, and The Re-Education of Molly Singer alongside Britt Robertson and Jaime Pressly.

He was a huge X-Men fan as a kid. “I collected comic books. There were three characters in X-Men that I was like, ‘I want to be them!’ They were Phoenix, Cyclops, and Storm.”

He's blind in his right eye. “I think around the third or fourth season of Superstore, I had a retinal attachment and complication. So, that's something I've had to navigate—the loss of my vision in my right eye. You grieve that loss, but with something like that, you have to keep moving forward. Life will keep throwing stuff at you.”
